At around 5 a.m. on July 8, 2025, the water level of the Donglin Zangbu River in Jilong County, Xizang, suddenly rose, causing the destruction of the Resuo Bridge (Friendship Bridge) at Jilong Port, which led to the forced interruption of bilateral personnel exchanges and trade in goods at Jilong Port.
According to reports, after the disaster, Chinese governments at all levels organized forces in an orderly manner to carry out various tasks related to the restoration of port clearance; Nepalese governments at all levels closely cooperated and actively supported the smooth progress of various projects.

At the travel inspection channel of Jilong Port, Chen Zhengwei, a tour guide who frequently travels between China and Nepal, shared his joy: "During the closure period, we had to take a detour to other ports for exit, which not only increased travel costs but was also quite troublesome. After Jilong Port resumed customs clearance, it has become more convenient to enter and exit the country."
Luo Xide, a Nepalese truck driver, said, "China has completed the construction of the temporary bridge, so I can continue to engage in transportation work at the port and have a stable income again. Thank you, China."
