Chongqing, December 15th (Xinhua) -- On the 15th, a China Singapore multimodal transport demonstration project Chongqing Southeast Asia train carrying chemical products, motorcycle parts and other goods slowly departed from Chongqing Yuzui Railway Freight Station and will be sent south via Qinzhou, Guangxi to Singapore in Southeast Asia by rail sea intermodal transport. At the same time, on another track, a China Singapore multimodal transport demonstration project Chongqing Central Asia international train loaded with KD parts will depart simultaneously and be sent westward via Alashankou to Kazakhstan in Central Asia through international railway transport.

It is reported that this two-way train will organically link up the China EU train and the new land sea channel. It is a vivid practice of China Singapore joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", will help build a trade corridor in western China connecting ASEAN and even the Eurasian continent, and inject new momentum into transnational cooperation and regional coordinated development.

The person in charge of Yuzui Railway Freight Station of Fuling Depot of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. stated that this train will depart from the same station in different directions simultaneously. The station will adopt a priority alignment, priority pick-up, and priority hanging method to fully serve the train and ensure its safety and punctuality.
