The first Chinese song competition of the "Zhonggang Bank Cup" ended in Congo (Brazzaville)

Brazzaville, January 12 (Xinhua) -- The final of the first Chinese song competition of the "China Congo Bank Cup", jointly organized by the Confucius Institute of Ngowabi University in Congo (Brazzaville) and the China Congo Africa Bank, was recently held in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo (Brazzaville). A total of 10 contestants from all over Congo (Brazzaville) competed on the same stage.

In the final, the contestants passionately performed Chinese songs such as "Youth", "Wish", "Invisible Wings", etc., interpreting the content of the works with standard Chinese pronunciation and good stage performance, winning warm applause from the audience on site.

Zhou Zhimin, the Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute at Ngowabi University, presented awards to the award-winning contestants.

Wang Shenghong, the President of Zhonggang Africa Bank, thanks the active participation of Chinese language enthusiasts and their love for Chinese culture. He said that during the China Africa Cultural Exchange Year, engaging in cultural exchanges with young Chinese enthusiasts through singing is of positive significance, and the contestants' love and persistence for Chinese culture are impressive.

It is reported that from the preliminary, semi-final to the final, this competition lasted for more than 40 days and attracted more than 80 local Chinese enthusiasts to participate, receiving widespread attention from people from all walks of life. More than 100 people attended the final event, including the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Congo (Brazzaville), the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Overseas Chinese, the 32nd batch of Chinese medical teams to aid Congo (Brazzaville), Confucius Classroom, Chinese International School, and local Chinese enthusiasts.
