As one of the important lemon producing areas in China, Tongnan District of Chongqing has established a complete lemon industry chain covering seedling cultivation, standardized planting, and deep processing, driving stable income growth for more than 100000 households. By establishing smooth logistics channels and improving the quality of lemons locally, we have promoted the export of fresh fruits and processed products to over 30 countries and regions. From January to November this year, the export value of lemon in Tongnan exceeded 190 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%.

Recently, in the fresh produce warehouse of Chongqing Leishu Fruit Co., Ltd. located in Chongkan Town, Tongnan District, workers are packing 28 tons of cleaned lemons into boxes. This batch of goods will be sent overseas through the Western Land Sea New Channel.

In April of this year, our lemons were directly supplied to Vietnam through the Western Land Sea New Corridor cross-border road shuttle bus for the first time, reducing the transportation time from 6 days by sea to 2 days and saving 200 yuan per ton in transportation costs. "Hu Zaiyang, the person in charge of the company, introduced that lemon products are very popular overseas and widely used in beverage production and food seasoning. For example, in Belarus, a restaurant with moderate foot traffic consumes 20 pounds of lemon per day.

In the past, the long cross-border transportation cycle was a bottleneck problem that restricted the export of lemon from Tongnan. In recent years, local government departments have collaborated with enterprises such as Chongqing Zhongyuan International Freight Co., Ltd., Land Sea New Channel Operation Co., Ltd., and Minsheng Logistics Co., Ltd. to extensively visit lemon production enterprises and tailor comprehensive cross-border logistics solutions for them; At the same time, in conjunction with Yongchuan Customs, a green channel for local inspection will be established, providing "7 × 24 hours" appointment inspection services.

Nowadays, in addition to the cross-border highway shuttle bus of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, Tongnan Lemon can also be transported directly to Thailand through the China Laos Thailand cold chain train, adopting a full cold chain and in transit constant temperature transportation method, achieving high efficiency, high quality, and large-scale export.

At the same time as the smooth logistics, market expansion is being carried out simultaneously, "said Zhang Qi, director of the Tongnan District Commerce Commission. The local area is anchored in international market expansion and has organized lemon enterprises to participate in overseas high-level exhibitions all year round. In the first 10 months of this year, more than 8 million yuan of intended cooperation was reached, and new export countries such as Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were added.

In recent years, Tongnan has also focused on promoting the improvement of lemon quality, laying a solid foundation for its products to go global. It is reported that Tongnan has established a lemon seedling breeding center, which supplies nearly 600000 non-toxic seedlings annually and achieves traceability of seedlings; We have also developed standardized production technologies, promoted "water fertilizer integration+Internet of Things" control and green prevention and control technologies, and effectively ensured the quality of lemons.

Qin Yunbing, Deputy District Mayor of Tongnan District, stated that in the next step, Tongnan will accelerate the construction of a high standard export registration base and overseas warehouses for lemons, promote the high-end and internationalization of the lemon industry chain, and inject momentum into rural revitalization and high-quality agricultural development.
